Since its founding in 1988, Cleveland-based Arkinetics has been a key architectural firm in the region. Bruce Taylor, AIA and Gary Fischer, AIA are architects and founders with a keen eye for industrial and office design. Cleveland has been their home, and they are surrounded by the world they love – manufacturing. Along with principals Frank Castrovillari, AIA, Dan Barney, AIA, and Rick Taylor, CDA, the firm continues to roll up their sleeves and get onto the factory floor to see just what makes each client special.
“We just love getting inside a factory and seeing how they work their magic. Each company has to design, build and manufacture in a way that keeps them competitive . . . we create buildings around their process and build efficiency into their facility’s design.”
Bruce Taylor, Managing Partner
Some of the facilities they have designed include American Iron & Metal, Q-Lab Corporation and Hy-Ko Products. The firm considers themselves more than architects; they are urbanists as well. As Cleveland has reinvented itself, Arkinetics has been there to help local manufacturers with consulting and analytics that have helped our region grow. Services include architecture planning and design, interior design, historic preservation, urban planning and construction administration. In addition to being WIRE-Net members for 14 years, the firm belongs to many civic and professional organizations including The American Engineering Management Association, Council of Smaller Enterprises, International Code Council and NAIOP Northern Ohio. With offices in Cleveland and Lorain, the 26 year old firm continues to be a force throughout the country, licensed to work in over 22 states.
Principal Frank Castrovillari serves on WIRE-Net’s Redevelopment committee and the firm is a frequent participant in plant tours, workshops, and golf outings.
July 03, 2014“As Arkinetics has evolved, WIRE-Net has been a supportive member in all facets of manufacturing. Our advice is simple – get involved today!”
Frank Castrovillari, Principal.
