Lorain’s Historic Broadway Building to be Transformed
Lorain Hotel Investors, LLC is pleased to formally announce a proposed mixed-use development of the historic Broadway Building located at 301 Broadway in downtown Lorain Ohio. Formally the Spitzer Hotel and contemplated for demolition, the Broadway Building Development will convert the property into a new vibrant active adult senior living community featuring approximately +/- 50 prestigious residential rental apartments. The Development will incorporate resident amenities such as a fitness center, pool, sauna, business center, library, and community rooms. The plans also feature prime commercial space along Broadway Street and Erie Avenue that could include outdoor café seating and the renovation of the parking garage, streetscape and more. The Development emphasizes life-long learning including fellowship, wellness, entrepreneurship, and the arts. An artist studio is included and the Developer envisions a display gallery along the arched historic interior hallways and a new outdoor garden.
Due to its historic character, prime location and state of the art design the Developer envisions the new Broadway Building Development to offer wonderful opportunities for its residents. The Development is a significant investment that will contribute to the growth of Lorain. The location is within walking distance to downtown destinations such as the historic Palace Theater, shopping, eateries and offices. The Broadway Building Development is also directly adjacent to Lorain’s spectacular waterfront including the park landscape and entertainment venues at the Black River Landing.
The project is the vision of the Developer Lorain Hotel Investors, LLC comprised of the Chicago-land based T2 Capital Management www.t2investments.com in partnership with Mr. James Louthen the Developer of the Black River Landing.
