Spokes Cafe in Medina Opens with the Support of the Community!
Arkinetics, led by Michael Couch, participated in the deck design for Spokes Café in Medina. Spokes Café is a new coffee shop and bike rental located off the Champion Creek multipurpose trail in Medina. The café is operated by Intervention for Peace, which provides opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. The historic house was updated and received several donations and support from the community, including Arkinetics’ architectural services for the deck.
This past Friday, the cafe hosted its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in celebration of the community and key players that made this happen. The Intervention for Peace, Mayor of Medina, Medina’s Director of Economic Development, several of the employees, and about 50 other people were there to celebrate the opening of Spokes. Dave Clardy, the owner, gave a speech where he recognized the hard work of the companies who donated their services, including Arkinetics. They also had a sign in the lounge area that listed the donors in the shape of a tire.
Super cool project! Thanks Michael and team for helping to make this happen!
